Mrs. DeAndra Lanier
Greensboro Elementary School

Mrs. DeAndra D. Lanier is a native of Greene County and a product of the Greene County School System. She feels honored to lead Greensoboro Elementary on their administrative team. Mrs. Lanier looks forward to daily collaborating with school personnel, students, and their families to provide challenging instruction for all. She would also like to continue building relationships between the school and the community.
Always up for a challenge, Mrs. Lanier has been involved in many activities at the school - most recently representing the school district in Leadership Greene with the Greene County Chamber of Commerce. During the 2017-2018 school year, Mrs. Lanier was the Assistant Principal at Anita White Carson Middle School. Previously, Mrs. Lanier was at the Greene County High School as Assistant Principal of Curriculum and Instruction. Before serving at GCHS and CMS, she served seven years as part of the administrative team at Greensboro Elementary School. She has also received her project based leadership certificate with the Georgia Leadership Institute for School Improvement and completed her specialist degree in leadership at Lincoln Memorial University. In addition, she was selected Greene County Teacher of the Year in 2008 where she represented the county at the Professional Association of Educators Leadership Institute.
Mrs. Lanier is married to Steve Lanier and they have two sons, Peyton and Austin. Living in Greene County, she has her finger on the pulse of the community and takes great pride in being able to work with the next generation of students from this area. She is passionate about sharing the importance of education in the community.
