• Mentors

The Greensboro Elementary School Mentors is a group of community volunteers who visit selected children each week throughout the year to assist with areas of academic weakness. Each child's teacher will provide the work and manipulatives to be used by the mentor with the student. The work ranges from studying spelling words and vocabulary words to helping to master times tables to improving reading skills. Through the time spent with these children, great relationships are formed. Some mentors continue to work with the students even after they have gone on to the Middle School.
